(Don’t worry this is not a basketball post) but my clients know I love Basketball it was my Dad and I’s favorite sport to watch together. On my bucket list is a game in every arena in his honor.
I was invited out to the Dirk Nowitzki (professional basketball player) Statue reveal party.
One thing Dirk did better in his career than score points was loyalty.
He spent his whole career with one team. He even gave up salary to afford to build a better team.
The statue was made of white bronze it is really amazing. Like most statues you have to see it in person. I guess the same sculptor did several statues of famous sports figures all around the world.
Dirk was in a pose of his famous fade-away jump shot… leaning back while jumping & scoring. But what really caught my eye was the plaque.
It reads: “Loyalty Never Fades Away.”
