Call me old fashioned, but as a recruiter, the phone is my friend and for me texting is not a real conversation. I don’t feel it. The emojis don’t mean anything to me. I see people laughing, giggling, and enjoying texting, and I’m fine with that, but for me it’s not real. I don’t know why.
Maybe I’m a stick-in-the-mud. Maybe I’m just old fashioned. Maybe I’m just old now.
Here’s what I do know. In today’s age, texting and email is crucial. But, if you wanna talk to me do me a favor; pick up the phone, put on some 80’s music in the background, and give me a call. Because if you’ll call me then we can find you exactly what you’re looking for.

Employment update:
The unemployment rate remained at 3.7 percent in August (most recent government report) for the third consecutive month.
The number of employed persons increased by 590,000 as the number of unemployed persons declined by only 19,000 at the same time the size of the entire labor force increased by 571,000. In addition, there were 364,000 fewer people considered as not in the labor force in August.
Private-sector jobs were up only 96,000 in August, which was below the 159,000 increase of July. Last year in August 2018, private-sector jobs increased 246,000.
