You’re going to be glad you read this. I’m going to share how to double your learning speed. No matter what you do, consistent ongoing learning is one of the most valuable habits you can build. For some of you, this will change the way you learn. And if you’re already doing it, I may have something for you too.

If you’re like me, you’re constantly watching videos to keep up. Sometimes it’s the news, and often it’s to learn a new skill, a new piece of software or how to do something around the house.

The next time you’re on YouTube, click the settings icon and adjust the playback speed. You can choose 1.25, 1.5, 1.75 or 2 times speed. A two hour training becomes a one hour training, and you’ll be surprised how quickly your ear keeps up.

By the way, I have a paid YouTube account, and if you don’t have one already, I highly recommend it. No commercials, and you can keep a video playing in the background while you do other things on your computer. I almost never watch television anymore. If you’re already doing this, try a browser speed extension and push the speed up to 3 times.
