My 18 interviewing tips video is still one of the most popular things I’ve made. Here’s a quick refresher on top of it, for how interviews work today:
- Video interviews: test your camera and sound, light your face from the front, and look at the camera when you answer.
- AI-screened interviews: answer the actual question, use specific examples, and keep it conversational. Practice out loud.
- Research: know the company’s latest news and the interviewer’s background.
- Stories: have three short success stories ready, each with a clear result.
- Questions: bring two or three smart questions about the role and team.
- Follow-up: send a thank-you note the same day.
