How many Terabytes are there in your computer’s hard-drive?

You mean Gigabytes, right, Joe?

Nope!

They say 50 is the new 40 and 60 is the new 50. Well, Terabytes are the new Gigabytes. Expanding storage on today’s computers is exploding. Hitachi Global Storage Technologies new 7K1000 is 1 Terabyte or 1000 Gigabytes. Enough storage to hold 500 full-length-movies or 250,000 hours of digital music- Double check my math but I think that’s more music than you could listen to in a lifetime even if you listened over 8 hours a day!

Apple says it will put this chip in a phone this year! Imagine yourself in 2009 and everyone walks around with their favorite hundred or so movies in their phone. You’ll be able to play them through some sort or firewire or wirelessly, directly onto your 100-inch high definition plasma TV. Well, that assumes we don’t already have every movie ever made, on demand, in 2009 as many bright minds are predicting.

Also hard to believe but true…

Standing in line at Starbucks I overheard a guy ordering a… “Venti triple shot Chai. No foam. No water. Regular milk. Extrahot,” for himself and a…

“Grande two shot, 3 pump Chai. No foam. No water. With percent milk,” for her.

After looking around to make sure I wasn’t “Punked” or on “Candid Camera,” I realized the guy was serious and asked him if I could share his order with the 50,000 subscribers of The Network! He was excited about the idea and wrote it down exactly as you see it above, just how he ordered it. If you don’t believe me, see “The Black Book of Crazy Customers” on the window sill at the 4th & Brannon Starbucks. Ginger & Sinbad’s usual order, complete with photo. Believe it or not!
